Blue-rinse brigade live life to the full
Thursday 12th May, 2011 - Theatre Royal, Lincoln
The hit comedy, Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting On A Green Park Bench returns to the Lincoln Theatre Royal with an all-star cast.
The John A. Penzotti play, will be staged from Thursday, May 12, to Saturday, May 14, before embarking on a national tour.
It stars Anne Charleston from Neighbours as Rose, Lorraine Chase from Emmerdale as Eva, Shirley Anne Field from Saturday Night, Sunday Morning as Anna and award-winning recording artist and actress Anita Harris as Gladys. They will be joined by Chris Beeny from Upstairs, Downstairs as Nunzio, Frazer Hines from Emmerdale as Richard and Tom Owen from Last Of The Summer Wine as Marvin. The cast is completed by Nicola Blackman as La La, Anna Lindup as Shirley, and Eke Chukwu as Tuffy. Produced by Chris Moreno and Anthony Radford for Shaftesbury Productions, this is a funny yet moving story of five wonderful women who have two things in common — they met seven months earlier on a park bench and have lived life to the full. Through fond and sometimes painful memories, keen observations and lots of laughs, each prepares for the day they leave the bench for the last time.
