The award-winning wildlife artist, Vic Bearcroft, is holding a book signing at St Mark’s Gallery in St Mark’s Place, Newark, on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

He will be on hand to talk about his work and sign copies of Drawing And Painting Wild Animals.

Vic recently won the endangered species category in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year competition with his pastel painting of a lowland gorilla, Makaku.

This will be displayed at the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society’s annual exhibition from September 14 to 16.

Vic runs highly popular art workshops across the country and exhibits his work worldwide.

Vic, of Grove Street, Balderton, is president of Newark Art Club, and a professional associate of the Society of All Artists, based in Newark.

At the book signing, Vic will have original paintings on display, along with prints, art supplies and DVDs.

He will also stage live demonstrations.
