Double helping of monologues
Thursday 15th July, 2010 - Christ Church on Boundary Road, Newark (15th) and Collingham Memorial Hall (16th)
Two more of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads will be performed by members of the Robin Hood Theatre Company, Averham.
Rachel Repper will stage Her Big Chance. In it she plays Lesley, an aspiring actress, who, after a series of unpromising extra roles on television programmes such as Crossroads, finds what she believes to be her big break as the adventurous Travis in a new film for the German market.
Jill Morris will present A Bed Among The Lentils. In it she plays Susan, an alcoholic, nervous vicar’s wife, who decides to have an affair with a nearby grocer, Ramesh Ramesh the third. Both will be performed in Christ Church on Boundary Road, Newark, on Thursday, July 15, and in Collingham Memorial Hall on Friday, July 16, at 8pm.
