A summer evening of opera will be held in the garden of The Old Hall, Lowdham, on July 3

This fifth event by The Doverbeck Trust is raising money for Maggie’s Cancer Care, to support the building of a new centre in Nottingham.

The Garden Opera Company will present Verdi’s La Traviata, sung in English.

Inspired by Dumas’s The Lady Of The Camellias, this classic tells the story of Violetta’s transformation from hedonistic courtesan to tragic heroine — a tale of hope, despair and romantic love.
