Hearing tales from story tree
Saturday 18th December, 2010 - Nottingham Playhouse
Folk tales from around the world will feature in Nottingham Playhouse’s children’s production of Under The Story Tree.

Described as The Lion King meets Aesop’s Fables, the show — which has live music and puppets — is a story of friendship and co-operation.

Suitable for four to eight-year-olds, it features folk tales from across the globe including Pakistan, Somalia and Poland.

Under The Story Tree runs from Saturday, December 18, until New Year’s Eve. The play will then tour schools.

The production is brought to the stage by Roundabout, the Playhouse’s acclaimed Theatre-In Education company.

Director Andrew Breakwell has directed more than 160 productions for young people, families and adults in schools, arts centres, community venues and theatres.
