On the hunt for a scoop
Young reporter Tintin and his dog, Snowy, are always on the look out for a big story — and this is no different in Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn 3D (PG).
Based on Hergé’s classic comic books, Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor, but someone else is in search of the ship.
Jamie Bell plays the bequiffed Belgian journalist while Andy Serkis is Captain Haddock. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are the Thompson Twins, while Daniel Craig is the evil Ivanovich Sakharine. Also in the cast are Toby Jones as Silk, Mackenzie Crook as Ernie, Tony Curran as Lt Delcourt, Daniel Mays as Allan and Cary Elwes as a Pilot. The 3D-motion picture, produced by Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Peter Jackson, can be seen at Newark’s Reel Cinema.
