ARTIST Maxwell Neale of Beckingham, with his winning painting.
A RURAL scene by a Beckingham artist was voted the Rotary Club of Bingham and District’s favourite painting at their annual exhibition.

The two-day exhibition attracted more than 80 artists, exhibiting a total of 259 paintings in a range of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel and ink.

Visitors were asked to vote for their favourite. The winner’s trophy was presented to Maxwell Neale, a professional painter and photographer for more than 30 years, by Rotary president Annie Gell.

The oil painting, entitled His First Time, depicts a horse-drawn plough.
