Singer returns to opera

Prima donna Lesley Garrett makes her return to the operatic stage in an intimate work of rare originality.
She stars in La Voix Humaine for Opera North at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, on Tuesday and a week tomorrow at 7.30pm.
The one-woman show is based on Cocteau’s play, reliving the heartbreaking final conversation between the solitary woman and her ex-lover. There will also be a performance of Purcell’s Dido And Aeneas. It is conducted by Wyn Davies and directed by Aletta Collins.
