Baltic Crossing
A group of musicians are aiming to take music lovers on a journey through the Scandinavian and Celtic countries.

Baltic Crossing play fiery contemporary folk music and feature some of the finest young musicians from the UK, Finland and Denmark.

They will perform at the Terry O’Toole Theatre, North Hykeham, on Thursday, March 24, and Norwell Village Hall on Sunday. March 27.

The band’s high energetic performances see them playing fiddles, Northumbrian bagpipes, guitars, double bass and melodeons.

New Perspectives Theatre Company present their version of Lark Rise To Candleford.

Flora Thompson’s portrait of growing up in rural Oxfordshire at the end of the 19th Century and her vivid account of the dawn of a new age of progress has captivated readers for more than half a century.

The book will be brought to life in Welbourn Village Hall on Tuesday, Flintham Village Hall on April 6 and Dean Hole Community Centre, Caunton, on April 8, all at 7.30pm.

British performer and song stylist Barb Jungr returns to the UK with her award-winning show, The Men I Love.

Jungr performs songs from her latest album as well as bringing a new American Songbook together featuring some of the best songwriters of the last 40 years.

She is at Leadenham Hall 2000 a week today at 7.30pm, and Oxton Village Hall on May 21 at 8pm.

All the shows are part of Nottinghamshire’s Village Ventures and the Lincolnshire Rural and Community Touring Scheme.
