Theatre tips for young actors
Monday 9th August, 2010 - Bishop Greaves Theatre,
Youngsters from the Newark area are taking part in a residential theatre course from Monday, August 9, to Saturday, August 14..

The 30 young people aged 12 to 20 were selected out of 500 auditionees to join The East Midlands Youth Theatre.

They will work with director Vik Sivalingam, who is currently working alongside The Royal Shakespeare Company, and a top professional artistic team.

The actors will create a new piece of theatre. It will be premiered at the Bishop Greaves Theatre at the Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln, on August 14 at 7.30pm.

Those taking part include Marie Hibbert, 15, from Balderton, Ellie Spanovic, 15, from Lowdham and youngsters from East Bridgford.

The event, part of LADA, is the only one of its kind in the East Midlands. It gives youngsters a chance to work with professionals.
