ALBERT LEE
Double Grammy award winner Albert Lee returns to the Palace Theatre, Newark, on Friday, September 14, at 7.30pm with his band, Hogan’s Heroes, to mark 50 years in the music industry.
Regarded as one of the world’s finest guitarists, Albert has been featured on Terry Wogan on Sunday and Simon Mayo’s Drive Time.
He has played at the Royal Albert Hall in The Concert For George — a tribute to George Harrison — and twice at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival. Albert is known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique. He is a composer and musical director. Over the years Albert has played with Don and Phil Everly, Chris Farlowe, The Crickets, Heads Hands And Feet, Emmylou Harris, Bill Wyman‘s Rhythm Kings and many others. Tickets for the show are available from the Palace box office.
