With murder in mind
Saturday 30th January, 2010 - Lincoln Performing Arts Centre
Actor Steven Berkoff brings his new one-man show to the the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre a week tomorrow (January 30).
One Man is a two-act social satire exploring the mind-set of a murderer wracked with guilt, and a mindless soccer hooligan.
The first piece is a macabre retelling of Edgar Allen Poe’s famous short story, The Tell-Tale Heart, about a mad man’s murderous revenge on a fishy-eyed miser. In the second — Dog — Berkoff plays a pit bull terrier and his lager-swilling football hooligan owner in an apposite comedy of manners. The performance starts at 8pm and is suitable for anyone 12 and over. Berkoff, an award-winning actor, director and writer, is best known for his portrayal of General Orlov in the James Bond film, Octopussy.
