Toot Hill have 100% pass rate because they expel pupils with problems and dump them on other schools. They also do not enter pupils for exam's if they feel they will fail. Anyone can make a school look good.

If puils are not prepared to comply with school discipline and endeavour to work according to teaching requirements then they and their parents only have themselves to blame. Reports of unruly children holding classes to ransom also confirm the school's policy of, after appropriate attempts to take remedial action, removing offenders.

How has Toot Hill School achieve a 100% pass rate? This is a large school with pupils of differing abilities. Are the border line pupils being denied the opportunity to take the GCSE? Is there an element of truth in Kaths comment? Does this make the GCSE totally valueless for employment selection etc? The 100% rate at Toot Hill raises more questions than answers. Whats going on!!!

About 22 years ago For a bet I did a multiple choice exam paper at wellingborough college. I did not even look at the questions just ticked any box and ended up with 65%. Todays pass rates does not reflect the true result. What is a C pass 30%?? is it more or is it less

As one of the pupils who were interviewed for these results, I am glad that I can be part of the succeeding sector. However, is it the fault of the parents and pupil if they cannot do what others can. Some make it sound like all who dont make it, didnt want to make when this is untrue. It doesnt help a students confidence if the school refuses them the GCSE because they feel so sure the student will fail. Dukeries Girl
