Fitness-loving families have been invited to join a new walking group for regular strolls around Newark.
Newark Family Strollers has been set up by the sports development team at Newark and Sherwood District Council so families can enjoy walking together.
The council’s active lifestyle officer, Kathryn Davies, said: “Join us for a lunchtime stroll on various routes around Newark.
“All ages are welcome, and walks will be made suitable for buggies so there is no excuse.
“You should wear appropriate footwear and clothing, but what better way to get some regular exercise before Christmas?”
The new group meets every Tuesday at Sconce and Devon Park, Newark, walking from 1pm to 2.30pm.
There are other walking groups that meet across Newark and Sherwood in Newark, Southwell, Ollerton and Sutton-on-Trent.
