Four homes damaged by fire
3:31pm Sat Jul 30, 2011

Fire crews battled a house fire on a Newark street that spread across roof spaces of neighbouring properties on Friday night.
Four terraced properties on Wolsey Road were affected. The fire damage left all uninhabitable.

None of the occupants were hurt.

The cause of the fire, which began at number 108, is being investigated.

Nothing but charred beams remained of the roofs of two of the houses.

Fire crews were called out at 8.30pm. All but one left at 1.30am.

One appliance remained on the scene in case fire broke out again.
