9:10am Mon Oct 08, 2012

The chairman of Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, Tracy Doucet, has stood down.
She said she had enjoyed being chairman of the trust and felt that progress had been made in building strong foundations to achieve their best care vision.

She said: "Whilst there are undoubtedly more challenges ahead there is also very much to be proud of, in particular the collective achievements in improving services and the quality of care delivered to our patients."

Mr John Marsh, lead governor at the trust, said they were very sorry to have lost someone whom they considered to be the most able chairman the trust had ever had.
