The free event was organised to showcase youth services provided by Nottinghamshire County Council. It was combined with play activities for children organised by Newark and Sherwood Play Support Group.
Lyndsey Woolmore, locality manager for Newark and Sherwood area with the young people’s service at the county council, said the event had given talented dancers, performers and bands the chance to appear in public on a stage at one end of the park.
She said: “It has been absolutely fantastic, far better than we ever dared hope.
“There has been a good family atmosphere. Parents and grandparents have come along with the children who have had so many things they can try.”
