The exhibition, in the Art Before Coffee Gallery, is called To Sew and continues until March 25.

Designer Mrs Emma Learoyd, 36, of Emma Learoyd Design, said: “I have always had a passion for colour and texture and by combining felt and embroidery I am able to exploit this.

“The product I produce is influenced heavily by nature and can be translated into a variety of accessories ranging from cushions to scarves.”

Mrs Learoyd studied textile design at Nottingham Trent University and worked in retail for 13 years.

“I just love being creative and although it can take a lot of time to produce one piece, I thoroughly enjoy it.

“There is something for everyone at this exhibition.”
