A camapaign group seeking to prevent development on the site of Roman remains in Southwell has adopted a new name.
The Save Roman Southwell campaign will now be known as Southwell Heritage Park campaign.

The group is aiming to create a heritage park on the former Minster School site on Church Street where archaeological digs have revealed significant Roman remains.

A member of the campaign and chairman of Southwell Town Council, Mr Roger Dobson, said: “While the Save Roman Southwell campaign is still an issue, we would like to focus attention on to what the open space we have there can be used for as some form of heritage park.”
