A man who died after the car he was driving left the road and entered a river has been named by police.
Wayne Slack, 24, who is from Newark, was driving along the B6034 Ollerton Road in Carburton, north Nottinghamshire, when it entered a river some time on Sunday (December 9).
Police were called to the scene to find the car in the river at 12.10pm and Mr Slack was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are no other reported casualties and it is not thought any other vehicles were involved.
Mr Slack was driving a Renault Clio Expression from Worksop in the direction of Ollerton.
Police are working to establish what happened and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
