The Alice In Wonderland-themed AmnesTea Party raised more than £1,400 for Amnesty International.

Around £1,200 was raised from a non-uniform day and hundreds of cakes, sweets and drinks were sold during an extended break time.

Two students who helped organise the event, Abs Foster-Brown and Tom Baker, both 17, are young ambassadors of Amnesty International, of which there are only 21 in the country.

Abs said: “The tea party was amazing. It was a whole school effort as other years helped us set up and sell.

“We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us raise such a fantastic amount.”
