Woman dies after Ollerton crash

A 57-year-old woman involved in a collision on the A6075 near Ollerton this morning has died.
At 9.10am police were called to an incident following reports of a collision between a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Iveco articulated lorry.

The female driver of the Fiesta was taken to King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield, where she subsequently died from her injuries.

The 53-year-old male driver of the lorry was unharmed.

A stretch of the A6075 between the Ollerton Island and former Thoresby Colliery site was closed while police conducted their enquiries. It reopened at around 3.45pm.

Witnesses are being asked to contact the crash investigation unit on 101 extension 2225 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
