Not so sure

When ‘Call Me Dave’ said the UK was in the economic mire and we all had to tighten our belts, but not to worry because “we are all in this together,” I felt reassured.
Even when the Government cut the pensioners’ Winter Fuel Allowance from £250 to £200 and altered the qualifying period from 60 years old to 65, I wasn’t too worried because “we are all in this together.”
I then read in the national Press that the Government is going to increase overseas aid from £7bn to £11bn, some of which, no doubt, will end up in various Swiss bank accounts, or to fund a new presidential air liner.
Plus, the Government plans to give Africa an extra £330m of UK taxpayers’ money to fit solar panels to village huts to fight the joke of climate change and global warming.
It would appear some people are “all in it together” more than others.
