Take chance to have your say
3:22pm Wed Jan 18, 2012
The Advertiser reports that Newark and Sherwood District Council is to hold two public meetings on January 27 at the Gilstrap Centre, Newark, at 10am and 5pm to allow people to have their say on the proposal to sell the centre to Nottinghamshire County Council for use as a register office (Have A Say On Gilstrap Centre Sale, January 12).
There was also a small advertisement in the public notices.
This is probably the only opportunity people will have to express their opinions, so it is essential anyone with a view should attend and then write with their opinions to the district council.
It might also be advantageous to write to the Charity Commission direct at PO Box 1227, Liverpool, L69 3UG.
The reference number for the Gilstrap Charity is 528226, and the person dealing with the matter is a Mr Murphy.
