Another gloomy day for Elm Avenue club
3:38pm Wed Sep 01, 2010
A day of sunshine and showers saw another dark cloud over all at Elm Avenue at the weekend.
There is still uncertainty about the future of the club’s ground, and there was little in the pitch to cheer about on Saturday, either.

With the first team crashing to a ten-wicket defeat at Blidworth, things appeared to be brightening up the Ransome and Marles 2nd XI in their match at home to Milton 2nds.

They bowled out their visitors for just 131, with promising 14-year-old seam bowled Hamza Javed taking three for ten off six overs that included three maidens.

But from that position of strength, they then collapsed to 75 all out to lose by 56 runs.
