Southwell 2nds picked up their fourth win of the season thanks to a major contribution from the Behl family and an unbeaten century from young Devon McCarthy.
The 16-year-old McCarthy finished with 104 not out while Ted Behl was unbeaten on 88 as Southwell put together an impressive total of 277 for two.

Behl then took four for 15 in Wiseton’s reply, and his 13-year-old son Greg weighed in with two for 36 as the visitors were bowled out for 199 to leave the Top Ground side victors by 78 runs.

Balderton stayed in fifth spot in Division One when they gained four more points without breaking sweat as Clifton Village conceded victory as they were unable to raise a team.

Claypole went back to the top of the Fourth Division with a comprehensive six-wicket victory over hosts Balderton 2nds at Coronation Street Playing Fields on Sunday.
