Blues errors prove costly

In a closely contested dress rehearsal for Monday’s Central Midlands League Cup Final, Newark Town lost 2-1 at home to Supreme Division champions Louth Town in the league at Station Road on Tuesday evening.
Louth took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Blues’ keeper Craig Lamb missed an attempted clearance, and the visitors scored again three minutes from the end before Simon Ellison grabbed a consolation effort in stoppage time.
