Guy Welton played his part as Caythorpe looked to climb the Notts Premier League table at home to struggling Radcliffe on Saturday, but the visitors hung on to claim a losing draw.
Caythorpe won the toss and decided to bat first, with Guy Welton and James Hawley making a solid start, with 50 coming up in the 13th over and Welton reaching his 50 (off 79 balls) in the 25th, with the total on 93 without loss.

Hawley was then caught by wicketkeeper Dan Mason off Chris Holden for 41, but keeper Steve Allcoat (67) joined Welton and they took the score to 232 before the latter departed for a fine 120 that included 17 fours and one six, with Caythorpe finally finishing on 267 for five.

Radcliffe replied with a rapid 50 by the eighth over, with Luc Durandt (75) and Dan Mason (69) leading the charge.

But wickets began to fall regularly after the pair departed, with Stephen Randall (four for 74) the pick of the home attack.
