Central Midlands fixtures decimated by ice

It was a very quiet weekend in the Central Midlands Football League this weekend as the area's teams in both the North Division and South Division had their fixture list affected by the weather.
Promotion-chasing Newark Town's match at Nottingham United was postponed due to a frosty pitch as was the Newark Town Reserves game at Belper United Reserves.
The call-off allowed second-placed Basford to extend their lead over Newark to six points. Both teams have now played the same amount of games.
Top of the pile South Normanton drew 2-2 with third-places Sutton AFC, as Town remain in fourth a point ahead of Pinxton who also had their fixture postponed.
Elsewhere in the Reserve Premier Division Southwell City Reserves game against Matlock Town Reserves was postponed for the same reason while the first team were without a game.
In the north Ollerton Town's game at Parkhouse also fell foul of the wintery conditions - leaving them in ninth spot.
