Clubs unite as City expand

Southwell City became one of the biggest clubs in the county at the weekend when they officially merged with youth football outfit Southwell United.
The merger creates a massive club with more than 30 teams and 500 players, ranging from under-6s to an over-50s veteran’s team, and City will also incorporate girls’ teams for the first time in their history.
