Chris Self scored Coddington’s only goal as their opponents ran riot at Stapleford Lane.

Two Alliance clubs made it through the first round of the Notts Intermediate Cup though, with Farndon United and Farnsfield Villa triumphing in their ties.

Elliot Coombes scored twice for Farndon, and goals from Charlie Gibson and Will Nelson helped them to a 4-2 win over LA FC.

Farnsfield Villa scraped through after a tense game against Nell Gwyn.

Stephen Lester’s brace and strikes from Daniel Weiss and Jack Leeland was enough for Farnsfield, despite Nell Gwyn hitting three goals in response.

Newark Town were unable to trouble their hosts as Smith Street Sorted ran out 3-0 winners, while Collingham lost by the same score at home to The Arrows.
