Farndon are struggling at the bottom of Newark Alliance Division Three after suffering their seventh defeat of the season in the foot of the table clash at home to Wollaton on Sunday.
Guy Welton, who went on to make a sparkling 120 for Caythorpe, digs out a testing delivery in the Notts Premier League match at Caythorpe Road, with Radcliffe wicketkeeper Dan Mason waiting to pounce.
The visitors made 201 all out, but the Marsh Lane Playing Fields side were bowled out for 179 in reply, losing by 22 runs.

They have won just two of their 11 outings and are now eight points adrift of the rest of the field in the Third Division.

There was better news for Ransome and Marles in Division Five where promotion is looking a real possibility.

They batted first at bottom of the table Long Eaton 2nds and amassed 292 for seven with the in-form Jake Mitchell leading the way.

The Australian is feeling more at home on the current sun-baked tracks and he hammered a career best 163, with Ryan Gray weighing in with 69 as the Elm Avenue outfit piled on the runs.

Tom Cobb then took four for 24 as the home side slumped to 144 all out, leaving Ransome and Marles winners by 148 runs.
