Franks lights fire for Farnsfield

When Farnsfield were relegated from county club cricket’s top flight last summer, they made a collective vow to return to the Notts Premier League at the first time of asking.
They started brightly in the Bassetlaw League Championship, winning two and drawing one of their first four games, but two defeats and a draw in the next four saw them drop to seventh place.

The last four games have seen three wins and a draw to take them up to third spot, and Saturday’s excellent seven-wicket win at home to Thoresby Colliery saw them move to within six points of leaders Marshalls.
