Josh Wale, who trains twice a week with Newark’s Carl Greaves, has signed a three-year deal with top promoter Frank Maloney.
The 23-year-old bantamweight from Barnsley has got a three-year contract with Maloney which promises four contests a year, plus a title fight.

Carl Greaves Promotions had its final show of the season on at The Beachcomber holiday park in Cleethorpes, where hot prospects Kev Hooper and Wale put on outstanding performances while 20-year-old Joel Haigh got his professional career off to a great start.

Hooper and Wale have both signed 18-month managerial contracts with Greaves, and Hooper, boxing in front of his home fans, made it nine wins out of nine. He won every round of his 6x3-minute contest and can now look forward to a title fight in October.

Wale, who won in the first round after having his Bulgarian opponent over three times inside two minutes, is now being lined up for a European title fight, and is considered by Greaves to be the pick of his crop.
