Newark finally recorded their first win of the season in South Notts League Division D — and it came at the expense of leaders Risley.
The visitors batted first, with Marc Addison providing the only real resistance with a knock of 40 in a total of 134 for eight.
Despite the loss of three early wickets, Newark got home with five to spare thanks to opener Alex Hales (52) and Steve Kennewell (37*).
