An unbeaten 107 from Mark Hanson led Farnsfield to a comfortable victory over Papplewick and Linby to consolidate their position in the top half of the Bassetlaw League Championship.
Papplewick, bottom of the table and yet to win in the league this season, were bowled out for 196 at Station Lane with Adam Gilbert claiming six for 60.

Farnsfield knocked off the runs with seven wickets to spare, led by Hanson’s fine effort.

Thoresby Colliery moved out of the bottom two after securing 17 points in their draw with North Wheatley.

Thoresby reached 231 before restricting their opponents to 220 for seven, with Steve Willis bagging a five for 42.

In division one, Edwinstowe held on to top spot courtesy of a thumping win over struggling Ransome and Marles.

James Peacock scored 140 in a big total of 280, and Ransome could only muster 143 in reply.

Sam McNeil and Aaron Rhodes did the damage with four victims apiece to leave Ransome stranded third from bottom.
