Home advantage for Lowe in rematch

Middleweight Andrew Lowe has the perfect opportunity to avenge a controversial refereeing decision that deprived him of a Midlands title.
He will have home advantage in the rematch against Harry Matthews for the vacant British Masters middleweight title.
It will take place on December 3 at the Grove Leisure Centre, Balderton.
It will be the third time the pair have clashed. They met last month at Elland Road, Leeds, when, despite Lowe seemingly dominating the bout, the referee awarded a draw.
The pair first fought in October 2010 at the same venue where Yorkshireman Matthews was awarded a six-round points win over former Royal Marine Lowe.
Lowe’s promoter and trainer Carl Greaves said: “Everyone could see Andrew won last time out and I am certain he will come away with the title this time.
“This is massive for Andrew and for the town of Newark — I hope boxing fans come out and show their support for him.”
Former undefeated world super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe is in Newark on Saturday night.
An Evening With Joe Calzaghe, organised by Carl Greaves Promotions, will be held at the Cedric Ford Pavilion, Newark Showground, from 6.30pm.
Boxing fans can meet, chat and have photos taken with the Welshman, who in a career spanning 15 years beat the likes of Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jnr, Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy, Robin Read and Chris Eubank, to become the undisputed world champion in his division.
Greaves said: “I’m proud to put on this very special event to give boxing fans the chance to meet one of the greatest British boxers ever — Joe is a true living legend.”
