Hurst hat-trick seals semi-final place

It was quarter-finals day in the Newark Alliance Cup competitions, and RHP Social Reserves kept up their superb season by reaching the semi-finals of the Notts Junior Cup.
They dispatched Top Valley United of the Notts Sunday Football League 4-2 thanks to a Joe Hurst hat-trick.
Ricky Todd scored the other goal as the Elm Avenue side’s fire-power proved too much for Valley to handle.
In the Sam Arnold Cup Wheatsheaf United were the big winners.
They thrashed Newark Flowserve 5-0 with a brace from William Wheat and one apiece for Matthew Johnson, Jonathan Nussey and Jonathan Upton.
Claypole put six past Fiskerton in the Pat Jepson Cup. Chris Dobbie hit a hat-trick in the 6-2 triumph with the other goals coming from Robert Pealing, Dom Swingler, and Riccardo Leighton.
There were some close affairs in the President’s Cup, among them a 3-2 win for Collingham Reserves over Malt Shovel where Daniel Forsythe’s two goals the difference.
