The Newark Hockey Club ladies 1st XI completed a league and cup double with a valiant performance at Beeston 3rds on Sunday afternoon, roared on by a huge travelling support
Former Otters and Beavers player Holly Powell (right) now vice-captain of Newark’s first team, was in fine form as the ladies beat hosts Beeston in the Notts Cup Final.
Earlier in the day the ladies had lent their support to the Newark Otters and Beavers girls teams at the Notts Mini Hockey Championships, where both the club’s under-10 and under-12 girls’ teams qualified for the Midlands finals.
