Balderton's Alan Jackson fell four runs short of a well-deserved century as he set up his side’s third win of the season in South Notts League Division A.

Simon Vickery enjoyed an excellent weekend with the bat for Newark R&M, scoring 65 (above) against Welbeck Colliery 2nds in the Bassetlaw League and then 81 against Claypole in the Newark Alliance the following day.
Jackson scored 96 out of his side’s total of 242 for six from their 20 overs, with Chris Dobbie adding an unbeaten 54.
Dobbie, John Esam and Ian Sellars then finished with two wickets each as visitors Hyson Green Carrington Caribbeans were bowled out for 233 in reply, leaving the Coronation Street Playing Fields side victors by nine runs.
David Pipes produced an outstanding all-round performance as Collingham chalked up an impressive eight-wicket victory at home to Gedling and Sherwood.
Pipes took five for 24 as the visitors were bowled out for 131, and he then finished unbeaten on 58 as the Dale Field side reached their target for the loss of just two wickets.
