Saturday's Ted Shaw Charity Match on the Dyke and Crankley attracted 39 anglers and raised £271 for Beaumond House Community Hospice.
The winner, fishing peg 49 on the Dyke — a noted big fish peg — was Worksop’s Terry Moraz who used caster and hemp in a feeder with caster on the hook to take two barbel and five chub for a weight of 27-1-0.

Runner-up was Barry Wiggington on Dyke peg 55 with one barbel plus skimmers on groundbait feeder for 18-8-0. Pete Warren was third on peg eight, fishing feeder with worm and then maggot on the hook for 17-2-0 of skimmers and roach.

Wednesday’s midweek match saw 25 fishing, with Tony Marshall take the top prize again with 14-1-0 on his normal approach of pole and hemp on peg 47.

Colin Walton was second, fishing waggler and maggot with 12-10-0 of roach and chub, with his catch including a 21/2lb chub which had earlier broken him — and the lucky devil got his hook back. Dave Powell was third with 10-12-0 and Steve Lowther fourth with 7-13-0.
