Newark R&M 1st XI had an afternoon to forget when they travelled to Caythorpe 2nds in Bassetlaw League Division One on Saturday.
The home side made 197 all out, with Matt Daffin (46) and John Kneale leading the way with the bat and Denovan Ekstraal taking three for 68.

Disaster then struck for Newark R&M as they lost nine wickets for 27 runs, with the last pair of Craig Drury (20*) and Craig Jackson (11) the only batsmen to reach double figures.

They put together a last-wicket partnership of 35 as the side finished with 64 all out, with Tom Haines (five for 13) and Tom Hemmings (four for 19) doing most of the damage.

Farnsfield had an impressive win in the Championship, beating hosts Killamarsh by 152 runs, with Mark Hanson hitting an unbeaten 148.
