Newark R&M are upwardly mobile

Newark R&M continued their climb up the Bassetlaw League First Division with an 18-point winning draw at home to Welbeck Colliery 2nds at Elm Avenue on Saturday.
The home side batted first and made 190 for four, with Simon Vickery (65) Denovan Ekstraal (61) and skipper Joe Smith (35) leading way.

Shaun Kelly and Ekstraal took three wickets each as the Welbeck side — which included former Notts batsman Paul Pollard — were left hanging on at 174 for nine in their reply.
