A blistering second half performance from the Blues saw them through to the second round of the Floodlit Cup at the expense of table-topping South Normanton Athletic.
Winger Ben Porter sent a cross-come-shot across the area for Zico Grinion who slotted home the opener two minutes after the half-time break.

On 58 minutes Town doubled their advantage as Simon Ellison, making his first start of the season, hammered a powerful drive from the edge of the area past the visiting stopper.

And in the 84th minute Ellison added his second to see off the Derbyshire outfit.

Boss Tony Joynes was delighted with his sides performance.

He said: "What really impressed me tonight was the work ethic shown by the whole team.

"Even at 3-0 we chased everything, and worked hard to keep up the pressure.

"Also the depth of the squad was there to see, with a particularly strong bench to call on.

"There were a lot of positives, but to be honest the whole of the team put in the effort. And we’re still chasing four trophies."
