Newark AC’S young athletes produced a string of fine performances at the Notts Mini League track and field meeting at Nottingham’s Harvey Hadden Stadium.
Jacob Carrington was in sparkling form in the chest push at the Notts Mini League meeting at Nottingham’s Harvey Hadden Stadium.
The club finished third overall but the under-13 girls dominated their category to win.

The highlights of the meeting were provided by Charlotte Ripley and Jacob Carrington who set new Mini League records.

Ripley produced an astonishing 4.38m in the under-13 girls’ high jump — an AAA grade two performance — while Carrington set a new best in the under-11 boys chest push with 6.73m. Not surprisingly, Ripley was also named female field athlete of the match.

Charlotte Ripley flies through the air in the long jump where she broke another record.
As well as the wins for Ripley and Carrington (who also won the 600m in 1min 56.80secs) six other Newark athletes recorded victories.
