Newark face fight against relegation

A shortage of competitors proved costly for Newark Athletic Club as they finished bottom of the pile in the second meeting of the Northern League series.

The return to competition of points-scoring machine Tom Beaumont was not enough to steer the Newark side away from a potential relegation scrap, but it was not all doom and gloom as there were also some fine individual performances.
