The Newark Swimming Club members battled their way to third place at the second round of the Sports Centre Gala League at Water Meadows at Mansfield.
The team were up against tough opposition, but produced six wins and 11 personal best times — with particularly notable improvements from Callum Brewell, Jack Woodward and Ross Whitehead.

Benjamin Palmer recorded three of the victories, with the others coming from Olivia Mathias, Millie Bowes-Hall and the 9-years’ mixed 4x25m freestyle relay team.

Newark Swimming Club’s team also finished in fifth place at the second round of the Spring Gala League at Sutton Lammas.
