Collingham-based junior rally driver George Lepley, 15, got his 2013 season off to a flyer by winning the first race of the season of the British Junior Kick Energy Rally Championship.
Racing in a Citroen C1, Lepley took on 12 stages at the Three Sisters track in Wigan, Lancashire, and was quickest in all, beating competition from across the country.

The championship is aimed to be a stepping stone into rallying for junior drivers, aged 14 to 17.

Lepley, sponsored by local road surfacing firm Jordan and Jason Lepley Motorsport, will travel to Anglesey Race Circuit in North Wales, on March 17, where he is favourite to pick up his second successive win.
