A number of outstanding performances from Newark athletes brought personal bests in the opening two rounds of the Lincolnshire League Track and Field season.

Charlotte Ripley gave a fine all-round performance for Newark AC at Yarborough Leisure Centre.
The first of the meetings at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln, saw under-13 Charlotte Ripley leading the way for Newark AC with a total of three wins in the 200m, 800m and long jump — with a personal best of 3.80m in the latter.
Other notable under-13 girls performances came from Amber Owens, who won the high jump with 1.25m, and Molly Ripley who was second in both the 75m hurdles and the 100m. The fast-improving Asia Moody was second in the long jump with 3.73m.
In the under-11 girls’ age-group Laura Bates won the 600m and at under-15 level Charlotte Peach won the 800m.
The under-17 girls produced some excellent performances on the day, with Eloise McQuaid winning the 100m (12.70secs) and 200m (26.90secs) with personal bests, and Emma Jessop winning the 300m in a personal best of 44.00secs and adding an 800m victory.
