Steve Wright produced the superb bowling figures of eight for 22 as Southwell clocked up their fifth win of the season in South Notts League Division A,
Wright was the wrecking ball as visitors Gedling and Sherwood were bowled out for just 97 in 34.3 overs. But the Top Ground outfit struggled in their reply, and made it home with only three wickets in hand.

Balderton were disappointingly bowled out for just 131 in their Division A match at home to Gedling Colliery, with Tim Clipsham proving the only real resistance with a knock of 31.

Chris Dobbie and Marlon Franklyn took two each as the visitors made it home with six wickets to spare.

Third-placed Collingham produced an impressive 20-point win at Bottesford in Division C to inch closer to the top of the table.
